Executed Project in Jericoacoara Regional Airport/CE

Jericoacoara Airport was opened on June 24, 2017 and is 33 kilometers from Jericoacoara. Before its inauguration, people traveling to Jeri had to disembark at Fortaleza airport, the closest to the city (more than 300 kilometers) and go to Jeri, on a trip that lasted between four and six hours, depending on the means of transport. Jericoacoara Airport is 30 kilometers from the village.
R $ 90.4 million was invested in the airport works, of which R $ 14.4 million came from the Civil Aviation Secretariat, from the Federal Government, and R $ 80 million from the Government of Ceará.
The airport's runway is 2,200 meters long and the parking lot is 1,200 m². The airport received external straw cover, decoration with images of Ceará beaches, rustic articles and internal structure of the wooden roof.
After boarding or disembarking, passengers go inside the terminal and arrive in a room decorated with pictures of the region's landscapes and objects that give a beachy atmosphere to the environment. Walking through the terminal, travelers find phrases that are mandatory stops for photos like “I love Jeri” and “Vem pra Jeri” in large letters. While waiting for the flight, in the safe area, passengers have access to bathrooms, cafeterias, drinking fountains and places to sit.
Jericoacoara Airport has the capacity to receive 600 thousand passengers per year, the same number of tourists who visit Jericoacoara National Park annually
